Summary: KRISP at UKZN, in collaboration with TIA, DIPLOMICS, SAMRC and the DSI has created a national consortium in South Africa to sequence SARS-CoV-2 in real time. This consortium is also providing data and protocols to the AfricaCDC so other countries in Africa can also use genomics to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
