Summary: Dr. Essomba René Ghislain is a Head of the Genomics Surveillance at the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) in Cameroon

Dr. Essomba René Ghislain came to this fellowship to receive training on SARS-CoV-2 sequencing in order to increase genomics surveillance in Cameroon.

Duration of the fellowship: 4 to 16 October 2021.

Trained received: Hands-on sequencing on Illumina and bioinformatics analysis.

Genomics Africa Fellowship: A program of CERI and partners at Stellenbosch and UKZN in collaboration with the Rockefeller Foundation and the Africa Centre for Diseases Control (Africa CDC).
